Richmond Dentist Receives 2013 Mastership Award from
the Academy of General Dentistry


Dr. Cook Accepts MAGD awardAustin - (July 1, 2013) – The Texas Academy of General Dentistry (TAGD), a professional association of more than 2,500 general dentists dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public, is pleased to announce that Zahra S. Cook, DMD, MAGD of Richmond Texas received the association’s 2013 Mastership Award during the AGD 2013 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held June 27 to 30, in Nashville Tennessee.

The Mastership Award is the highest honor available at the AGD and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Cook completed more then 1,100 hours of continuing dental education.

As a recipient of the Mastership Award, Dr. Cook joins just 166 active TAGD Masters who understand that providing great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.

“We are proud to honor Dr. Cook for her commitment to continuing education in her quest to provide quality dental care and oral health education to her patients,” says AGD President Jeffrey M. Cole, DDS, MBA, FAGD. “There are more than 169,000 general dentists in the United States and Canada and less than two percent of those are Masters with the AGD. Dr. Cook graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1988 and currently practices dentistry in Richmond, Texas. In addition to her Mastership in the AGD, Dr. Cook is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and a Fellow of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVIF). Dr. Cook is also an active member of the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, the American Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society.

Dr. Cook, and husband David, have two children, Melissa and Richard.
